| Description | Since the terror attacks, four University Hospitals & Clinics Emergency Department workers received federal training to deal with biological and chemical weapons of mass destruction. They also are the first hospital-based emergency room personnel in Utah federally certified to teach response techniques to other emergency room workers. University Hospital long has been a first-defense responder in case of a chemical or biological weapons release from Dugway Proving Grounds. The terror attacks prompted the hospital to re-evaluate its response plans to a chemical or biological weapons attack. As a result, the hospital is prepared better than ever. |
