| Description | Taft McNaughton opened the Fisherman's Lounger near 387 North Vernal Avenue. The business was opened on April 27, 1965. The city council that a beer license was denied at the time of their opening. A cafe license was issued. Pool table s were the mainstay. Hamburgers and hotlinks were cooked on a hot plate. Sandwichs were also made and served. After applying a couple of times, many of the neighbors opposed having this type of business near their homes. Finally, in 1968 a Class A beer license was approved and shelves were installed to put the product on. |
