Stain: Azan. The red-stained pseudostratified epithelium contains cilia and light goblet cells (white droplets) and a distinct basement membrane that continues in the intense blue-stained lamina propria and the submucosa consisting of fibrous tissue of elastic and collagenous fibers. |
