| Additional Information | Nicholson (1914-2002) was one of the first women test pilots to fly for the United States Air Force. She was a member of the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs) during World War II, from 1943 until the group was disbanded in 1944. Also included are photos of Alberta and friends/competitors in cross country air races. Photographs depict planes she flew and worked on, airfields, reunions, contests, and other pilots, co-pilots, and instructors. |
