| Further Information |
In this anti-Mormon pamphlet, the Woman's American Baptist Home Mission Society of Boston, Massachusetts, addresses the growth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States. The pamphlet provides a metaphor for Mormonism as a huge octopus which is spreading its tentacles throughout the western states. It offers the solution of aiding Christian mission workers in the Rocky Mountain area, and lastly suggests a state seal for Utah which attacks polygamy and isolates the dominate religion of the state. |
