Description Visual field defects can arise from a lesion anywhere in the afferent visual pathway. In young adults, they are most commonly due to a neoplasm or demyelinating disease. We present a case of a young woman with a homonymous defect caused by a transiently enlarged Virchow-Robin space whose spontaneous resolution resulted in the disappearance of the visual field defect.
