Ophthalmoparesis; Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension |
Description |
Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is defined as increased ICP with normal CSF contents, in the absence of an intracranial mass, hydrocephalus, or other identifiable cause. Although uni- or bilateral sixth nerve palsies are common in this condition, and presumably related to increased ICP, other external ophthalmopareses, such as gaze pareses, skew deviations, and third or fourth nerve palsies, are exceedingly rare. |
