Description |
Although fundoscopy is a crucial part of the neurological exam, it is underutilized and unreliably performed by non-ophthalmologist physicians. Neurology inpatients in particular have an increased likelihood of fundus pathology which could affect clinical management. This study aims to determine period prevalence of fundus pathology in an Australian neurology department and assess the diagnostic accuracy of current fundoscopy practice compared with systematic screening with smartphone fundoscopy (SF) or portable non-mydriatic camera (NMC). |
