Description |
Miriam Peterson, originally from Denver, Colorado, moved to Eastland, Utah, in 1997, where she found peace, quiet, and strong community connections, despite the initial challenges of limited shopping options, which have since improved with online ordering. She discusses the lack of opportunities as a drawback, especially for younger generations, noting issues with cell service and limited choices for education and jobs, though remote work has mitigated some of these challenges. Peterson also shares her experiences opening a private school and a forthcoming forest school, and expresses her belief that the community's population and main employer (government) will keep it largely unchanged in the next ten years. |
