A major protion of Stanaker (Steinaker) Reservoir area, left of the dam and the relocated Utah Highway 44 traversing the eastern edge of the area are also shown. In the foreground is part of the Ashley Valley lands which will be served supplemental irrigation water by the Vernal Unit. Stanaker (Steinaker) Dam is a rolled, zoned, earth fill embankment having a crest length of 1900 feet and a height of 140 feet.. Construction was perfromed by Morrison-Kndsen Company Inc. under specifications DC-5160. |
