Description |
Paper from the AFRC 2016 conference titled Flare Event-Comparison of Dispersion Modeling Approaches and Outcomes Regarding Benzene Formation and Dispersion |
Abstract |
This paper will present a case study utilizing a comparison of multiple state, federal, and international flare dispersion modeling packages including screening models and refined models. The end goal will be to present current flare modeling issues and suggestions for the flare industry to assist in creating better models for industry's use. The paper will use the assessment of a single non-routine flaring event at a petrochemicals facility in Italy performed by using USEPA and Canadian approved models and current available modeling guidelines. |
