An unidentified woman shakes hands with a Ute man in full regalia at the UBIC held in Fort Duchesne. The Uintah Basin Industrial Convention began in Fort Duchesene in 1923 and still continues today. Representatives from universities and colleges around the state gave lectures on topics such as agriculture, livestock, poultry, irrigation development and home building. Entertainment, games and sports along with craft and Indian displays were available on display. |
