Ab Price (front) and Milton Carpenter (back) driving teams pulling wagons heavily loaded with wool south on South Vernal Avenue. The wagons are going past the Leo Thorne photographic studio in the first block of South Vernal Avenue. When Thorne saw these freight wagons coming, he ran out and asked to photograph them. This photo is from an early postcard. Ab's horses were named Vic and Lyde (lead team) and Bill and Boots (wheel team). |
