Description |
Augusaw was a Ute Indian who refused to fight during the Meeker Massacre. The other Ute warriors declared that Augusaw was not a man, that he was a woman. He was made to wear a dress and scarf the rest of his life. Here he is dancing with Luke Shook during the Bear Dance at Dragon. |
