Description Pituitary abscesses are an extremely rare clinical entity and accounts for < 1% of all pituitary lesions. We present the case of a 29-year-old woman with a suprasellar mass thought be a pituitary adenoma but surprisingly turned out to be a pituitary abscess during transphenoidal resection.
