Additional Information Image was scanned from color slide. The Japanese House was designed by Yoshimura Junzoo and originally built in Nagoya, Japan in 1953, then presented by the America-Japan Society of Tokyo to MoMA in New York for exhibition from 1954-1955. It was then given to Philadelphia. In 1958 it was reassembled at it current location in New York.
