Systemic corticosteroids are the primary form of therapy for patients with CIDP, although statistical evidence supporting this treatment is limited to a single randomized controlled study with 35 subjects and several uncontrolled studies that indicate that systemic corticosteroids have a beneficial effect on the course and prognosis of the condition. |
