Image shows an SP 1744 and UP 6264 engine at Corinne, Utah. These trains are on permanent display at the Sons of the Utah Pioneers exhibit on location. These trains simulate the meeting of rails at Promontory, Utah on 19 May 1869. These engines are a much later models, however, than the CP Jupiter and UP 119 that were used in the Golden Spike ceremonies in 1869. |
