Show This is a photograph of a Presbyterian Church building known as the Octagon as seen from across a dirt road. A woman stands at the doorway on the left. A one-story structure runs between the Octagon and a more traditional two-story house on the right side of the image. A fence encircles the lawn in front, and various trees dot the landscape. The image has very low contrast and the sky seems dark; it may have been taken on a cloudy or rainy day. |

This photograph is in poor condition. It is mounted on sturdy paper. The edges of the back ground paper are damaged and small parts of the photography are missing on three of the corners. "The Octagon" is printed at the bottom center of the photograph in white pen. Small parts of the photograph are missing on three corners.On the back, there is a stamp which reads: THE SALT LAKE COLLEGIATE INSTITUTE." Printed in black ink is: "The Octagon 1905." In cursive "The Octagon" is written vertically along the left side of the photograph. The following is also written in pencil: "6731" and "2½ x 3".
