Flaming Gorge Dam Celebration in Vernal

Delegates for the Upper Colorado River Storage Project speak to a crowd at the city park next to the courthouse. After twenty-two years of promoting the project success had finally been reached and reservoirs would begin to be built including Flaming Gorge Dam, Steinaker Reservoir, Tyzack (Red Fleet) and Upalco Reservoir. The delegates were Bry Stringham, Hugh Colton and L.Y. Siddoway. They were accompanied by their wives. The doughboy can be seen in the center.
