Subject Optic Neuropathy; Neuroimaging
Description Glaucoma is a clinical diagnosis and neuroimaging is not usually required except in atypical or asymmetric cases. MRI findings of optic nerve (ON) T2-hyperintensity and atrophy may lead to unnecessary workup of glaucoma patients. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of abnormal ON MRI findings in glaucoma patients, and whether these findings correlate with the severity of glaucoma.
