Description |
Bitemporal hemianopsia typically results from disease affecting the optic chiasm, due to damage to the binasal crossing fibers subserving the temporal visual field of both eyes. Pituitary macroadenomas, craniopharyngiomas and meningiomas are the more common causes. We present an unusual case of pseudobitemporal hemianopsia caused by bilateral blepharoptosis, rather than the more prototypical optic neuropathy. |
