Description Cortical adaptation may influence visual recovery in patients with pituitary macroadenomas. In this retrospect cohort study, we compared coherence tomography (OCT) measures of retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and ganglion cell -inner-plexiform layer (GCIP) values in patients with complete versus incomplete post-operative visual recovery after surgical decompression for pituitary macroadenomas. Secondly, we compared post-operative patterns of resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rsMRI) between groups to determine whether this imaging modality could distinguish patients with complete versus incomplete visual recovery.
