Description Pendular nystagmus (PN) observed in multiple sclerosis (MS) leads both to oscillopsia and poor visual acuity that are reported to be disabling and distressing by patients. Different treatment trials have shown interesting effects of gabapentin or memantine on PN in MS. While the effects of treatments were evaluated on nystagmus parameters and visual acuity, none of the trials took in consideration the oscillopsia perception and visual quality of life. In this monocentric opened cross-over treatment trial in patients with MS, we aim at evaluating the effect of either gabapentin or memantine on PN, visual acuity as well as oscillopsia and functional score.
