Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a relatively 'new' disease with the first clinical descriptions in the 14th ccntury and the first pathologic descriptions in the 19th century. Sonderbank, a Dutch physician, described the case of St. Lidwina, whose disease had waxing and waning sensory and motor symptoms over many years, in 1380. |
