Show This photograph is of the headstone of Frances Rosalie Burke. The headstone is of a dark gray color, and there is a border and flowers engraved near the top. The dates read, "June 2, 1844" and "January 8, 1927." The quote on the bottom reads: "IN CHRIST WE SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE." The headstone is mounted on a larger stone of a light gray color. There is a shadow in front of the headstone. The grave is covered with some grass, but large portions of bare spots are also visible. Behind the headstone, are four other headstones with flowers placed in front of them. One grave has a small American flag. Further in the background is a metal wrought iron fence with brick posts.<br><br> |

This photograph is in good condition. The original photograph is in color. On the back the following information is written in ink: "Headstone Frances Rosalie Burke, Toquerville Cemetery. Photograph taken by Sandra Dawn Brimhall, 2003." Frances R. Burke was also know as "Fannie Burke" and some records give her names as Frances Rosilla Burke. She was a Presbyterian Church missionary and teacher for over forty years in Toquerville, Utah. For further information about her see: Brimhall, Sandra D. and David A. Hales.
