Various methods have been employed to measure the dimensions of the intraorbital optic nerve, including autopsy measurements in vivo ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). No prior study has employed high resolution, surface coil MRI with histologic validation to measure the optic nerve along its intraorbital course. |
