History Case 1: A 37-year old female with a blind spot OS after rhinoplasty. Case 2: A 44-year old female with a history of chronic sinusitis underwent bilateral nasal antral windows and right myringotomy complained impaired vision OD after surgery.
Pathology Case 1: Decrease of nerve fiber inferior temporal part of retina corresponding to area of infarct. Case 2: Inferior island of vision OD.
Disease/Diagnosis Postoperative complications affecting visual acuity
Clinical Case 1: VA: 6/6 OD, 6/6 -1 OS; Missed one color plate on the left with relative afferent pupillary defect noted. Case 2: VA: 1 meter OD, 6/6 OS.
Presenting Symptom Retinal edema; Afferent pupillary defect
Treatment Corticosteroids
