Description The search for a cause of Intracranial Hypertension includes looking for risk factors, exogenous substances and disorders of cerebral venous drainage. However the majority of cases remain idiopathic. An observational study of consecutive patients diagnosed with IIH found that several had recent or concurrent streptococcal infections suspected by history or exam.
