Description Central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) results in devastating vision loss and has no clinically proven treatment. Presently, there is only one study that reports the incidence of CRAO at 0.7 per 100,000 in Split, Croatia. Other estimates are based on a referral population and range from 1 to 1.13 per 10,000 outpatient visits.
