Description The Star Range, located approximately 5 miles west of Milford, Beaver County, Utah, contains Paleozoic and Mesozoic sedimentary rocks, Tertiary intrusive and extrusive igneous rocks, contact metamorphic rocks produced by the alteration of the sedimentary rocks by Tertiary igneous intrusions, and unconsolidated Quaternary colluvial and alluvial deposits. The Star mining district, a lead-silver-zinc-copper producer, is included within the Range.
