Gunnison Island

A photo of Gunnison Island. The land is small and distant at the center of the horizon line. The hazey pink smog and bright reflection of sun against water in the foreground gives the photo an obscured, mirage-like aesthetic. Tolman describes the subject as being from the Great Salt lake, made from inorganic processes, and has been altered by humans. This piece was displayed as part of Doug Tolman's MFA exhibition "Generative Spaces".
