Note: Chōzubachi is a vessel originally designed to keep water for rinsing one's mouth and cleansing one's body before worshiping gods or Buddhas. It subsequently evolved into what is called tsukubai and became a fixture of the Japanese tea ceremony found within the yard surrounding the tea house.--Wikipedia. Note: The Katsura Imperial Villa is located in the western suburbs of Kyoto, Japan. Built in stages by three generations of the Hachijōnomiya family, the grounds include gardens, five tea houses, and the palace. It is one of Japan's most important large-scale cultural treasures.--Wikipedia.
