Show May 23, 1923 Mr. A. W. Simington, Special Allotting Agent, Blanding, Utah. My dear Mr. Simington: With further reference to your letter of May 3rd requesting the elimination of certain described lands from the LaSalle National Forest, for allotment to Indians, there is enclosed a copy of Departmental letter of May 18th to the Secretary of Agriculture which is fully explanatory. Vihen a reply ha a been received from the Department of Agriculture, you will he promptly advised thereof and you will also he informed regarding any further action taken in this matter. In the meantime you may proceed with the necessary survey or other field work in connection with your present assignment and should it become necessary to file applications for any Indians under Section 51 of the Act of June 25, 1910 35 Stat. 855, a supply of application blanks will be forwarded to you for that purpose.
