Main Street, looking north, showing the Elsinore Drug Company and other businesses. Elsinore was settled in 1874 by James Jensen, Jens Iver Jensen, and others, LDS settlers from Denmark. The city was named by Mormon Stake President (an area leader) Joseph A. Young because it reminded him of Elsinore, Denmark. |
