Show " EXTRACT FROM WEEKLY REPORT OF E. Z. Black Stockmen in charge of ALLAN CANYON UTE INDIANS. WEEK ENDING September 15, 1928." " I dont feel very well satisfied with my school work this year. I thot I would be able to get all delinquents in school in my district, but have had plenty of opposition from the parents and relatives, they have all kinds of excuses, that are not worth mentioning, but one, which I think i f worth considering. They want a school at Allan Canyon, and swear they will send all that are school age, and see to it that they are there every day, but to send their children over a hundred miles away, they think the Government i s asking too much. They feel they are doing all they should if they send one from a family, when they have to go so far away from home." |
