Description Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) has been described as reversible encephalopathy associated with hypertension, eclampsia, immunosuppressive agents. Transient cortical blindness is common in PRES but it is very rare that the occurrence of permanent visual loss because of a bilateral retinal artery occlusion associated with PRES.
