Description |
Because the clinical manifestations of both acquired and congenital toxoplasmosis are often protean and nonspecific, the diagnosis should be considered in a large number of different settings. In addition, the usefulness of a given diagnostic test may differ depending on whether the infection is acquired or congenital and whether the patient is immunocompetent or immunosuppressed. |
