Show Department of Justice Office of United States Attorney District of Colorado, Denver. June 17, 1915 The Attorney General, Washington, D. C. Sir; As a matter of report you are advised that Tse- ne-gat, alias Pa- woo- tach, alias Everett Hatch, the Ute Indian charged with the murder of Juan Chacon was today formally arraigned in the Federal Court here and pleaded not guilty to the three counts of the indictment. Both of his attorneys were present in court and a member of his own tribe acted as his interpreter. The trial, as previously advised, will begin July 6, next. Tse- ne- gat was brought to the court room by the deputy marshal under whose custody he remains at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver. Very respectfully, [illegible] United States Attomey. |
