Tuft's Mansion was made of adobe and built by William Elbridge, an 1848 Utah pioneer. It became an early hotel before it was torn down in 1889. The adjacent Colorado Stables was where Orrin Porter Rockwell died in 1878. The drawing includes a sign with the credits: "Copyright 1891 Auerbach Co." |
