Description A variety of sarcomas occur within the cranial cavity. These include chondrosarcomas, osteogenic sarcomas, primary sarcomas, and rhabdomyosarcomas (embryonal sarcomas). The tumor previously known as reticulum cell sarcoma arises from cells of the mononuclear-phagocytic (reticuloendothelial) system and is, in fact, a form of diffuse, large cell lymphoma.
