Note: Arima Onsen is a famous hot spring town within the city limits of Kobe, located in Kita-ku, one of nine wards of Kobe City, but on the opposite side of Mount Rokko from the city. Arima Onsen is considered one of Japan's oldest hot spring resorts.--Japan Guide website. Note: Arima doll brushes are a local folk product that were first made when Emperor Kotoku stayed at Arima and was blessed with a child.
