Description |
A broken water main Thursday, Aug.9, 1962 flooded the west end of the Capitol basement, causing damage estimated at several hundred dollars records belonging to the State Land Board, State Tax Commission and several other state agencies suffered considerable damage. Many records were so soaked as to make them illegible. Pictures 1 to 6 show the flooded area (4 in. deep in some areas). Photos by B. Phillips. |
