Description A 64-year-old man presented to our clinic for evaluation of an enlarged thyroid. The clinical suspicion of giant cell arteritis prompted temporal artery biopsy which was negative for vasculitis bilaterally. A thyroidectomy for mulitnodular goiter was performed without improvement of symptoms. Pathology of the thyroid specimen was consistent with adenomatous hyperplasia.
