This photograph is a copy of the original and is in good condition. On the back of the photograph, inscribed in pen, is: "Warren O. Watkins," "Warren O. Watkins," "1953-1956". There is also a yellow adhesive brushed on the back of the photo. Watkins served as the Dean of Westminster from 1953 to 1956, during which he also served as a Professor of Education and Psychology at varying times. Watkins was born April 20, 1906 in Venango, Nebraska. He received a B.S. from Hastings College, an M.A. from Colorado State College of Education, and an Ed.D. from the University of Utah. Before serving as Dean, Watkins fulfilled numerous roles in the education system, including being a Naval instructor during WWII and teaching mathematics at Westminster College. Watkins resigned in 1956 and went on to become the Director of Teacher Education for Eastern New Mexico University. |
