Union Pacific steam excursion train on the Sherman Hill Line in Wyoming, Sept., 1961. This is still being used for this purpose by the railroad in 1989 and was soon given the new number of 8444. It was repainted in a passenger color scheme of two-tone gray in 1988. Seen here in more common black paint with white & silver trim. 844 was built by the American Loco. Co. in 1944.
