An early east aerial view of the college campus. Visible is the Dane Hansen Stadium at the bottom, Science Hall directly behind the stadium (now Charles H. Dick Science Building), F.R. Payne Gymnasium far left, Converse Hall across from the gymnasium at top left, and former Ferry Hall to the right of Converse (present sight of Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business). A few areas are being utilized as parking lots: the area in front of Converse Hall is one and the area in front of the Science Hall is another. Various dirt pathways or roads can be seen winding in front, around and in between buildings. A large portion of the campus is covered in a semi-dense thicket of trees that surround mostly the outer perimeter. Various houses surround the campus. Most of these homes are visible at the bottom of the photograph.
