Description |
Monument Valley is in Southeastern Utah and is within the Western Navajo Indian reservation. The photo was taken at a spot called "Artist's Point" & the camera was pointed West. The high stone plateaus which dot this great desert land rise to more than 1,000 ft. above the floor of the valley. The country is inhabited by small roving bands of Navajo Indians who manage to make a living from their small flocks of goats and sheep. |
