Seniors Vanessa Mortensen and AJ Roby did extremely well for the throwers, placing second and third respectively in the weight throw. Vanessa put in a mark of 16.64m and AJ put in 15.85m. In addition to the weight throw, both girls competed in the shot put. AJ placed second with a mark of 13.90m, and Vanessa came in at tenth with a mark of 10.63m. In addition, Nicki Hugie, Amanda Feight, and freshman Haley McAllister also performed well for the Lady Utes. Hugie placed first in the 1 mile run with a time of 5:21.49. Feight and McAllister both competed in the long jump and 300m dash. Feight placed third in the long jump with 5.96m and second in the 300m dash with a time of 40.71 seconds. McAllister placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.31m, and sixth in the 300m dash with a time of 42.44 seconds. |
