Address: 5049 So. Murray Blvd., Murray, UT. Pastor Dave Nelson arrived in Salt Lake City in 2003 and launched K2 the Church in 2004. The name "K2," short for Kensington 2, is a tribute to the pastor's home church in Troy, Michigan. The non-denominational contemporary-style church originally met in a South Salt Lake warehouse at 195 W. 2100 South (the barnlike structure now the Commonwealth Room entertainment venue.) The move to Murray came in 2015, when they took over the space of the former "Fun Dome," 49th Street Galleria, near I-15 in Murray. Since these pictures were taken, K2 has moved again, to the Southeast Christian Center on Murray's east side. |
